In 2022, the first phase of the radiation processing nuclear technology utilization unit radiation safety management standardization construction peer evaluation training course was held.
Accelerate the peer assessment activity of standardized construction of radiation safety management of nuclear technology utilization units for radiation processing, and improve the level of radiation safety management in the industry. The China Isotope and Radiation Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association) organized the first peer assessment training course on standardized construction of radiation safety management (radiation processing) of nuclear technology utilization units in Beijing on March 17, 2022 by video. More than 130 teaching experts, experts selected into the expert database, representatives and counterparts of the evaluated units and staff of the Association participated in the training online and offline.
Guo Lili, the secretary-general of the Association, attended the opening ceremony and made a speech. She said that the peer assessment activity of radiation safety standardization construction is an effective carrier to absorb the advanced management experience of peer enterprises and continuously improve the radiation safety management level. The Association will adhere to the principles of problem orientation, goal orientation, seeking truth from facts, transparent communication, etc.
Through the training, the evaluation experts were familiar with the evaluation standard documents, radiation safety management related knowledge, evaluation process and the preparation of the evaluation report, the specific implementation of the evaluation and the requirements for the evaluation experts. At the same time, the cohesion of the evaluation team was further improved, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent evaluation work, and playing a positive role in promoting the radiation safety management level of the whole industry.
In the next step, the Association will issue the evaluator certificate to the experts in the expert pool who participate in the training, and select evaluators from them to carry out the evaluation. The training was highly praised by the participants and was a complete success.
